Rahul to go on padyatra to MP, Punjab
New Delhi, Apr 21 (IBNS): Returning from his 57-day long sabbatical, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi seems rejuvenated as he is likely to go on a padyatra to states like Madhya Pradesh and Punjab to measure the mood of the farming community, media reports said.
He will also meet and gather feedback from Congress leaders in the two states where the farmers are facing problems due to unseasonal rainfall, CNN-IBN quoting sources said.
This comes after Gandhi gave a hard-hitting speech in the Lok Sabha and criticised the Narendra Modi government for being anti-poor and anti-farmers.
Flexing political muscles after his sabbatical, he also assured the farmers in a massive rally on Sunday that he will 'fight their battle' while slamming the Narendra Modi government at the Centre and saying that the Prime Minister aims in making the base of India weak by his 'pro-corporate' measures.
With all these efforts, Rahul seems eager to change the tag of being a 'reluctant' politician as he is amending the style of his working.
