Jaipur, Oct 23 (IBNS): Congress president Rahul Gandhi will campaign for his party in poll-bound Rajasthan in the next two days of the week.

Rahul's two-day trip will begin on Wednesday.

He will address public meeting in Jhalawar and interact with people on his way to Kota on Oct 24.

On Thursday, the Congress chief will address Sankalp Maha Rally in Sikar.

Rajasthan Congress chief Sachin Pilot tweeted, "Congress President @RahulGandhi ji will be in #Rajasthan on Oct 24-25th. looking forward to his public meeting in Jhalawar and interaction with people en route to Kota on 24th and his address at the #SankalpMahaRally in Sikar on 25 Oct."

The assembly polls in Rajasthan will be held on Dec 7. The counting of votes will take place on 11th of the same month.

The Congress, led by its state chief Sachin Pilot, is trying to defeat the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Rajasthan, ahead of the next Lok Sabha elections, which will be held in few months' time.

A recent poll survey has predicted the Congress will go past BJP to wrest power in the state in the upcoming Assembly election.
