New Delhi, May 28 (IBNS): Congress president Rahul Gandhi will be accompanying his mother and United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson Sonia Gandhi for medical check-up outside India.

Rahul has tweeted to say, "Will be out of India for a few days, accompanying Sonia ji to her annual medical check up. To my friends in the BJP social media troll army: don’t get too worked up...I'll be back soon!"

The Congress president has taken a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which often attacks the former for going abroad to spend holidays.

Rahul often visits foreign countries, receiving criticisms from the ruling BJP.
