Rahul Gandhi once again expresses regret to Supreme Court for his Rafale comment

New Delhi, Apr 29 (IBNS): For the second time, Congress president Rahul Gandhi has expressed regret to the Supreme Court for saying the topmost level of the judiciary acknowledged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi did corruption in the Rafale deal, media reports said.

Gandhi filed a fresh affidavit to express regret.

Refusing to bury the matter, the Supreme Court last week agreed to hear the contempt plea filed against Gandhi.

Gandhi on Monday said petitioner BJP's Meenakshi Lekhi was seeking mileage out of the contempt proceedings.

Gandhi earlier said that his statements were 'misused' by his political opponents and that he had made the statement in the heat of the election campaign.

During a media interaction in Amethi, the Congress president had claimed that the apex court’s order has made it "clear" that 'Chowkidar Chor Hai' (Prime Minister is thief) in its Rafale order.
