Bengaluru, May 7 (IBNS): Campaigning for the upcoming Karnataka Assembly elections, Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Monday held a bullock cart protest march in Kolar against rising petrol prices, according to media reports.

Thus began the ninth phase of his 'Jana Aashirwada Yatre' in Karnataka.

The media quoted Rahul Gandhi as saying, "Global fuel prices are down. Where is the money going?"

The Congress President also tweeted, "The BJP Govt. collected 10 Lakh Crore in taxes on Petrol/LPG/Diesel since 2014. Yet, NO relief in prices for our citizens."

While Rahul Gandhi is visiting Kolar and Bangalore Rural, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh addressed a press conference in Bengaluru.
