Quake shakes Nepal, India, people panic

New Delhi, Apr 25 (IBNS) A massive earthquake hit Nepal's capital Kathmandu region and India on Saturday. The tremor measured 7.5 in the Richter scale with the epicenter of the quake located at 35 km east of Lamjung, Nepal, according to United States Geological Survey (USGS).

The tremors were felt strongly in India with people experiencing it for over 40 seconds in Delhi region, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and other places.

It was felt for over 40 seconds at around 1140 am.

Buildings were shaking and many panic stricken people rushed outside.

Experts said there might be aftershocks of the quake.
