Punjab,Goa polls: Voting ends

Amritsar, Feb 4 (IBNS): Voting for Assembly polls has ended in Punjab and Goa where voters exercised their franchise to elect new lawmakers on Saturday.

According to repots, Goa witnessed massive turnout with 83 per cent of the electorate exercising their franchise.

In Punjab, 70 per cent had cast their votes till 5 pm.

Voting in both Punjab and Goa were peaceful.

Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Manipur will also vote to elect new lawmakers shortly.

Counting of votes in all the states will take place on Mar 11.
