Pune: Seven persons held for planning robbery at jewelry shop

Pune, May 12 (UNI) A total of 7 persons,including 4 history-sheeters, were arrested as they were reportedly trying to break-in to a jewelry shop and commit robbery.

Acting on a tip-off, the sleuths from the Yerawada Police Station nabbed the seven accused while they were planning to barge into the jewellery shop, said the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Prasad Akkanouru.

"With the arrest of these accused, eight other robbery cases have been solved," the DCP affirmed.

The police have also recovered four vehicles and sharp weapons from their possession.
