Pune: Man held for manufacturing fake liquor

Pune, Mar 19 (UNI) A 45-year-old man was arrested here on Tuesday for allegedly possessing fake liquor in huge quantity and selling it to the students as well as techies, informed the State Excise Department.

The accused have been identified as Naga Chawala, a resident of semi-urban Pimple Gurav area.

According to the State Excise Department Police Inspector Suraj Devrao, the sleuths raided the factory of the accused where the illegal liquor was stored.

In the raid, labels of several premium liquor companies and sorts of other materials required for manufacturing hooch was discovered, said Devrao.

The accused sold the fake liquor bottles between the range of Rs 25,000 to Rs 35,000 each, added Devrao.
