Pulwama terror attack: Tarun Gogoi says government should take stern action

Guwahati, Feb 18 (IBNS): Reacting over the Pulwama terror attack, former Assam Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Tarun Gogoi on Monday said that, government should take stern and appropriate action to ensure that the insurgency be completely contained.

Gogoi said that, in this critical period, "We are 100 percent with our soldiers."

“Rahul Gandhi also expressed that, we should be united in this critical hour, in time of emergency. The government has given free hand to the Indian army to take whatever steps they desire. Government should take very stern and appropriate action that the insurgency be completely contained,” Gogoi said.

On the other hand, reacting over Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu’s remark, the former Assam CM said that, it was his personal opinion.

“Ultimately, one day you have to talk to resolve problem. But, the question arises, whether it is an appropriate time or not. The problem can be resolved through talks,” Gogoi said.
