Puducherry: Woman stabbed to death

Puducherry, Apr 27(UNI) A 35-year-old woman was stabbed to death here on Saturday.

According to police, Geetha who was married and having two children was deserted by her husband some time back.

She was living in a rented house at Jayanagar in Saram here. She developed intimacy with one Anand and both were living together.

Around noon today, both had a quarrel in their house and Anand stabbed Geetha and escaped.

Neighbours and relatives of Geetha rushed her to the government general hospital. However, she died on the way to hospital.

D.Nagar police seized the body and sent it for post-mortem.

A case has been registered by the police and are on the look out for Anand who is absconding.
