Properties worth several lakh of rupees gutted in fire in Assam’s Karimganj

Guwahati/IBNS: Properties worth several lakh of rupees reduced to ashes after a fire broke out in Assam’s Karimganj town area on Wednesday night.

The incident took place at Longai Betail area near Karimganj town where at least 10 houses have been reduced to ash in the fire incident.

According to the reports, the fire broke out at a house and it spread out to other houses in the area.

Following the incident, locals were engaged to control the situation and also informed police and fire service.

Later, fire tenders had rushed to the area and managed to control the situation.
