Gandhinagar, Mar 12 (IBNS): Making her debut speech since joining active politics recently, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra tried to corner Prime Minister Narendra Modi and urged people to use their right to vote as their 'weapon' during the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

From the issue of women safety to job creation, Priyanka Gandhi tried to attacked the PM on numerous issues in her first political rally staged in Narendra Modi's home turf.

"I realised that this country is built with love and harmony. I feel sad at the current situation of the country. There is no better nationalism than being aware. Your vote is your weapon," Priyanka said amid cheering crowd in Gandhinagar.

Priyanka raised the issue of job creation and said: "Someone made big promises in front you then what happened to the jobs?"

She urged voters to take the right decision while casting their votes during the Lok Sabaha polls that will be held from next month.

"Do not get distracted with unwanted issues. You should realise what benefits you, how you will get employment, how women can be safe. I appeal to you to take your decision with caution," she said.

Priyanka Gandhi was among the top Congress leaders who visited Gujarat to attend the Congress Working Committee meeting.
