Prime Minister Narendra Modi most savvy man : Lalit Modi's latest tweet

| | Jun 27, 2015, at 04:38 pm
New Delhi, June 27 (IBNS) Amid a political storm that his series of tweets has triggered in India setting two main political parties against each other former IPL boss Lalit Modi has now heaped praises on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying he is the "most savvy man."

"Our PM is most savvy man. He does not need my advice. When he bats he will hit the ball out of the park. #respect only," he has tweeted.

Lalit Modi, who faces charges of corruption and money laundering during his stint as chief of the cash rich Indian Premier League has caused trouble for External Affairs Minister  Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje as the Congress-led opposition has put them on line of fire allegedly for maintaining relations and helping out a "fugitive."

Swaraj had admitted that she had no objection to Lalit Modi's request to travel out of the United Kingdom and spoke to British MP Keitz Vaz and the British High Commission in this regard.

Raje, accused by the Congress of signing an affidavit in favour of Modi has claimed that she did it for Modi to get UK stay permit as a friend. The document was signed in 2011 when she was the leader of the Opposition in the state Assembly.

Modi also put the Congress in embarrassment when he tweeted that it was "great to meet the Gandhi family" in London.

In a three-part tweet,Modi claimed that he had interacted with Congress president Sonia Gandhi's daughter Priyanka and her husband Robert Vadra at a restaurant in London last year.

This time his tweet gave BJP a point to score over the Congress which has launched a virulent attack on the ruling party on the Lalit Modi issue.

However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has so far maintained silence over the whole controversy.
