Prime Minister Narendra Modi leaves for 2-day Nepal visit

New Delhi, May 11 (IBNS): Commencing his Nepal visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday left New Delhi.

He is visiting the neigbouring nation for two days.

"Consolidating the principle of neighbourhood first and Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas! PM @narendramodi emplanes for a two day visit to Nepal, building on the visit by Prime Minister of Nepal, K.P. Sharma Oli," MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted.

Modi is visiting Nepal at the invitation of the Prime Minister of the Himalayan nation KP Oli.

This will be the third visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Nepal and the first high-level visit from India since the formation of the new Government in Nepal.

During the visit, he will hold talks with Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli, call on the President and Vice President of Nepal, and interact with senior leaders of various political parties of Nepal, read a statement issued by the MEA.

PM Modi will also be visiting the historic cities of Janakpur and Muktinath, apart from engagements in Kathmandu.
