President to inaugurate 2nd International Yoga Day celebrations in Rashtrapati Bhavan

New Delhi, June 20 (IBNS) President Pranab Mukherjee will kick off on Tuesday a mass Yoga demonstration involving around 1000 persons at Rashtrapati Bhavan to mark the 2nd International Yoga Day.

The participants will include officers and staff of President’s Secretariat, their family members, members of Delhi Police, ITBP and President’s Bodyguard, etc. as well as other residents of the President’s Estate.

Participants of the In-Residence Programme for scholars from IITs, IISERs and IISc-Bangalore currently underway at Rashtrapati Bhavan will also participate in the event. They will all perform the common protocol finalized by Ministry of AYUSH, read an official statement.

The event is being organized in collaboration with Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga.

The first International Yoga Day was celebrated in Rashtrapati Bhavan on June 21, 2015 with participation of around 1000 people.
