President rejects Delhi govt's 'Office of Profit Bill'
New Delhi, Jun 13 (IBNS): Bringing setback to Arvind Kejriwal government, President Pranab Mukherjee on Monday refused its bill amending the law on "Office of Profit."
The move has raised questions on the fate of 21 Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislators who had been appointed as Parliamentary secretaries last year.
According to the Constitution, holding 'Office of Profit' by an elected member is a violation.
The President's letter has been sent to the Law Department of Delhi government.
