President Pranab Mukherjee greets Uruguayan people on the eve of their National Day

New Delhi, Aug 25 (IBNS) : President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay on the eve of their National Day.

In a message to his Uruguayan countarpart Tabare Vazquez, the  President  said, “On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it is with great pleasure that I convey warm greetings and felicitations to you and to the people of Uruguay on the occasion of your National Day. "

"India and Uruguay enjoy warm and friendly relations – which in recent years have strengthened and diversified in a number of areas of our shared interest. I am confident that our mutually beneficial cooperation will assume greater depth and substance in the coming years."

"I avail this opportunity to extend to you my best wishes for your good health and well-being and for the progress and prosperity of the people of Uruguay," he said.
