President Mukherjee wishes Zimbabwe President on the eve of Independence Day

New Delhi, Apr 17 (IBNS) President Pranab Mukherjeeon Sunday extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Republic of Zimbabwe on the eve of their Independence Day.

In a message to Robert Gabriel Mugabe, the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Mukherjee said, “On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to extend warm greetings to the Government and the people of the Republic of Zimbabwe on the occasion of your Independence Day. "

"India and Zimbabwe enjoy warm and cordial relations. I am confident that the mutually beneficial cooperation between our two nations will continue to strengthen and expand in the years to come," he said.

"I take this opportunity to extend to Your Excellency my good wishes for your personal health and well being – and for the continued progress and prosperity of Zimbabwe," he said.
