Pranab Mukherjee wishes Marshall Islands on the occasion of their Constitution Day

New Delhi, Apr 30 (IBNS) President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of Marshall Islands on the occasion of their Constitution Day.

In a message to Hilda C. Heine, the President of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Mukherjee said, “On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it is my pleasure to extend warm greetings and felicitations to Your Excellency and the Government and people of Marshall Islands on the occasion of your Constitution Day."

"India and Marshall Islands have traditionally enjoyed warm and cordial relations, based on respect, goodwill and mutual understanding. I am confident that the friendship and cooperation between our two countries will continue to strengthen in the years to come to the mutual benefit of our peoples. India continues to support the Marshall Islands with its developmental needs. I firmly believe that in the near future, our joint initiatives in the areas of renewable energy, healthcare and Information Technology will help create a solid foundation for further enhancing this valued partnership," Mukherjee said.

"I take this opportunity, Excellency, to convey to you my best wishes for your good health and well-being, and for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of the Marshall Islands," he said.

The President said: "Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration.”

Marshall Islands will celebrate Constitution Day on Sunday.
