Pranab Mukherjee message on the eve of National Day of Algeria

New Delhi, Oct 31 (IBNS) President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria on the eve of their National Day on Nov 1.

In his message to His Excellency Abdelaziz Bouteflika, the President of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, the President said, “On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to convey to Your Excellency and to the people of Algeria warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your National Day."

"India and Algeria enjoy close and friendly relations. India attaches high importance to its partnership with Algeria. The political, economic and commercial interaction between Algeria and India has grown satisfactorily. India and Algeria share similar goals of sustainable development and inclusive economic growth for our peoples. I note with satisfaction that many Indian companies are investing in Algeria and other important steps are being taken to enhance our mutually beneficial cooperation," he said.

Mukherjee said: "Please accept my best wishes for Your Excellency's good health and happiness, as well as for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Algeria”.
