Pranab extends greetings on the occasion of Accession Anniversary of Emir of Qatar

New Delhi, June 24 (IBNS): Indian President Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of Qatar on the occasion of the anniversary of Accession of HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, The Emir of the State of Qatar on June 25.

In a message, the President has said, “On behalf of the Government and the people of India and on my own behalf, I extend warm greetings and congratulations to Your Highness and the people of the State of Qatar on the occasion of the Anniversary of Your Highness’s Accession."

"Our historical and friendly relations are deeply rooted in millennia-old cultural, religious and economic ties, characterized by extensive people-to-people contacts. I am confident that our multifaceted engagement in different fields would further deepen and strengthen our ongoing cooperation for the mutual benefit of both our peoples," Mukherjee said.

"I take this opportunity to convey to Your Highness my best wishes for your personal good health and well-being and for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of the State of Qatar," he said.
