Policewoman lodges complaint of sexual abuse against 3 men
Madurai, July 7 (UNI): A woman police constable on Saturday lodged a complaint against three men, including a self-styled ‘god man’ and an ex-councillor of Madurai city corporation of sexual abuse and deceiving her of Rs 1.50 lakh.
Police sources said here on Sunday the police constable, attached to Tallakulam police station in Madurai city in her complaint stated that she was mother of two children and facing divorce case filed by her husband. Following this, she had got in touch with the president of a caste association she belonged to.
The caste association president promised to help her reunite with her husband. He demanded and accepted a sum of Rs 1.50 lakh from her and yet again demanded Rs 50,000 for helping her.
She claimed that on Friday, she was asked to come to a restaurant, where she was introduced to a god man and an ex-councillor.
The god man allegedly applied something on her forehead under the guise of blessing after which the woman police constable fainted.
After regaining consciousness, she had realized that she was sexually abused by the caste association president, god man and the ex-councillor.
She demanded action against the three persons for sexually abusing and deceiving her of money.
Based on her complaint, Tallakulam police are investigating the case.
