Police impose Section 144 in Noida on New Year's Eve, Jan 1

Noida/IBNS: Ahead of the New Year's Eve celebration, the Gautam Buddh Nagar Police has announced that Section 144 shall be imposed in Noida and Greater Noida.

The measures have been undertaken to ensure public safety and prohibit the unlawful assembly of more than five people.

The police have prohibited unauthorised processions or any religious prayer meeting. 

They have also banned alcohol consumption in public places on Dec 31 and Jan 1.

The use of private drones within a kilometer radius of government buildings has been strictly prohibited.
