Varanasi, May 27 (IBNS); After scripting yet another landmark victory in the Lok Sabha polls, PM Narendra Modi is all set to visit his constituency Varanasi on Monday.

Modi himself registered a massive victory from Varanasi in the polls.

BJP Uttar Pradesh posted a message on Twitter to welcome Modi to Varanasi.

Narendra Modi was first elected to the Lok Sabha from Varanasi in 2014.

He defeated  Samajwadi Party (SP) rival Shalini Yadav by a margin of over 4.80 lakh votes this time.

The BJP had won 282 seats in the 2014 polls. This time it increased its tally to 303.

Modi and his council of ministers will take oath at 7pm on May 30, the Rashtrapati Bhavan said in a statement.

President Ram Nath Kovind would administer the oath of office and secrecy to Prime Minister Modi and the ministers, it added.

The Modi-Shah duo has not given any indication on who could be given key portfolios such as finance, defence, external affairs and home.

However, West Bengal, where the BJP made big inroads this time, is expected to get good representation. Smriti Irani, who beat Congress president Rahul Gandhi from his Amethi bastion, is also expected to be part of the Union cabinet.
