Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother Heeraben Modi on Saturday distributed the national flags to children in Gujarat's Gandhinagar.

PM's brother Pankaj Modi informed that she distributed flags to the children under the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign at her residence in Raisan and also hoisted the tricolor at her home.

PM's mother, a centenarian, also motivated children to hoist the national flag at their homes.

India is celebrating its 75 years of independence from British rule on August 15 (Monday). The Centre has urged all citizens of the country to hoist the national flag in their homes and establishments to mark the day.
