PM Modi wishes people of Gujarat, Maharashtra over statehood day

New Delhi, May 1 (IBNS):Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday wished the people of Gujarat and Maharashtra on the occasion of their statehood day.

Wishing people of Maharashtra, he tweeted: "On Maharashtra Day, my greetings to the people of Maharashtra. "

He later tweeted: "Greetings to the people of Gujarat on the foundation day of the State. "

Before being elected as the Prime Minister of India last year, Modi had served as the Chief Minister of Gujarat.
