PM Modi to leave for BRICS summit on July 13
Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said the Prime Minister will make a transit stop in Germany.
"Now that you have asked me a direct question I can answer to you that the date will be the 13th and the Prime Minister, as I have previously said, will transit through Germany," Akbaruddin said while addressing a press conference here.
The BRICS summit will be Modi's first multilateral meeting since taking over as the Prime Minister of the country.
He will meet world leaders during the summit.
The BRICS nations comprise of Brazil, Russia, China, India and South Africa.
The summit will be held in Fortaleza and Brasilia cities in Brazil.
