Bhopal, Oct 14 (IBNS) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a war memorial in Bhopal on Friday at a time when a war of words over the Indian Army's surgical strike across the LoC rages between the ruling BJP and the opposition.

According to reports, Modi will land in Bhopal in the late afternoon and will head to Lal Parade ground to address an ex-servicemen’s gathering.

He will then inaugurate the Shourya Smarak, built by the state government.

The war memorial has been built over 12 acres on Arera Hills. It  has a 62-foot Shaurya Stambh, a 1000-capacity amphitheatre  and galleries to showcase the armed forces’ history.
