PM Modi to inaugurate Umiya Dham Ashram, address programme via video conferencing

New Delhi, Oct 5 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be inaugurating the Umiya Dham Ashram at Haridwar and address the programme via video conferencing at around 10 am on Thursday.

The Prime Minister tweeted about the development.

"At 10 AM today, will address the programme to mark the inauguration of Umiya Dham Ashram at Haridwar, via video conferencing," his tweet read.

Goddess Umiya is the family deity (Kuldevi) of the Patidar caste, who primarily reside in the Indian state of Gujarat.

According to Hindu mythology, Goddess Umiya was established by Lord Shiva himself at Unjha.
