PM Modi to inaugurate inter-state council meet today

New Delhi, July 16 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 11th inter-state council meeting on Saturday.

The meeting is taking place after a decade long gap.

"Will inaugurate the 11th meeting of the Inter-State Council today. The Council is meeting after a gap of almost ten years," the PM tweeted.

Speaking about the meeting, the Prime Minister said that he is looking forward to meet the state CM's and his other ministerial colleagues.

"Looking forward to interacting with State CMs, Ministerial colleagues & others to discus & deliberate on various vital national issues," PM Modi said.

Key areas the meeting will cover includes education, security and Aadhaar.

"Among the key topics we will discuss are internal security issues, improving quality of education & learning outcomes and Aadhaar," Modi tweeted.

"Cooperative federalism is an article of faith for our Govt. Inter-State Council gives a good opportunity to discuss wide range of subjects," he added.
