New Delhi/IBNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid his homage to the soldiers who were martyred in the Pulwama terror attack, which took place on this day in 2019.

Modi posted on X, "I pay homage to the brave heroes who were martyred in Pulwama. Their service and sacrifice for our nation will always be remembered."

At least 40 Indian paramilitary personnel were martyred as Pakistan-based militant organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) carried out an attack in Kashmir's Pulwama on Feb 14, 2019.

Within 24 hours, India had retaliated with an airstrike by bombing a terrorist camp at Balakot in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK).
