PM Modi pays homage to Jayaprakash Narayan

New Delhi, Oct 11 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid homage to late Indian independence activist Jayaprakash Narayan on his birth anniversary.

"I bow to the venerable Loknayak JP on his Jayanti. His unflinching courage & righteousness continue to inspire every Indian,' the Prime Minister's tweet read.

Jayaprakash Narayan, popularly known as JP or Loknayak, was also a theorist and a political leader, who is responsible for the fall of Indira Gandhi's government in the mid 1970's.

He is also considered as the political mentor of present leaders from Bihar, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Mulayam Singh Yadav.
