Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday morning offered prayers at the Tirumala temple in Andhra Pradesh.

Modi shared some pictures on his X handle where he said, "prayed for the good health, well-being and prosperity of 140 crore Indians."

The Prime Minister was seen in the pictures wearing South Indian attire.

Modi arrived in Tirumala last night when he was welcomed by state Governor S Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at the airport.

Modi, who is the supreme leader of the country's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), will head to Andhra Pradesh's neighbouring state Telangana.

He will address two rallies in poll-bound Telangana and hold a roadshow in the state capital Hyderabad at 5 pm.

Telangana will go to polls on November 30. The result will be declared on December 3.
