PM Modi meets President of World Bank

New Delhi/UNI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday met President of World Bank, Mr David Malpass here.

''President of the @WorldBank, Mr David Malpass met PM @narendramodi,'' PMO India said in a tweet.

Prior to his meeting with the Prime Minister, a delegation led by Mr Malpass held a meeting with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman here at North Block.

''Smt @nsitharaman holds a meeting with a delegation led by the President of the @WorldBank Mr @DavidMalpassWBG, at North Block, New Delhi,'' SitharamanOffice said in a tweet.

The President of World Bank reached here on Friday and is on a four-day visit to India from October 25 -28.

On Oct 24 last, the World Bank elevated India to 63rd position on the index of ease of Doing Business from 77th in 2018.
