PM Modi meets Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison on the sidelines of East Asia Summit

New Delhi, Nov 14 (IBNS) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi met his Australia counterpart Scott Morrison on the sidelines of the East Asia Summit in Singapore on Wednesday and discussed various bilateral issues.

"PM @narendramodi met with PM of Australia @ScottMorrisonMP on the margins of #EastAsiaSummit in Singapore. Both leaders had a good discussion on deepening ties in trade & investment, defence & security and other areas of bilateral cooperation," MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted.

Modi had also held talks separately with  American Vice President Machael Pence on various issues.

Prmie Minister Modi will also attend the 13th East Asia Summit (EAS) and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Summit hosted by Singapore as the current Chair of ASEAN grouping.

As strategic partners, India and ASEAN enjoy close trade and economic relations.
