PM Modi lauds Defence Minister for his RS speech

New Delhi, May 5 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday lauded Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar for his Rajya Sabha speech on Wednesday, stating that the latter rose above politics and displayed best parliamentary traditions.

"Yesterday's speech by RM @manoharparrikar in the Rajya Sabha was one of the best speeches, displaying best parliamentary traditions." The Prime Minister tweeted.

Urging fellow countrymen to listen to his colleague's speech, the PM wrote, "RM @manoharparrikar rose above politics & placed all relevant facts on the table. Urging you all to hear his speech."

Debating the AugustaWestland issue in Rajya Sabha on Wednesday, the Defence Minister had said that the country wanted to know who instigated, supported and benefited from the corruption.
