PM Modi greets the people of Gujarat on Gujarati New Year

New Delhi, Nov 12 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday greeted the people of Gujarat, his home state on Gujarati New Year.

Modi tweeted: "To all my dear sisters & brothers of Gujarat- Saal Mubarak! I pray for a joyful, peaceful and prosperous year ahead."

Hindu Vikram New Year or the Gujarati New Year is the last of the communal new year celebrated in India.

PM Modi is now on a visit to the UK, to strengthen India's economic ties with the country.
