PM Modi and Pak premier Nawaj Sharif to stay in same US hotel: Speculations over bilateral talks

New Delhi, Sept 22 (IBNS) After breakdown of the NSA-level talks between India and Pakistan the Prime Ministers of both the countries may get hold of another chance of rapprochement on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in the USA where they are likely to be put up in the same hotel.

Media reports said it is confirmed that  the Prime Ministers of both countries - Narendra Modi and Nawaz Sharif - will be staying at the same hotel - New York's iconic Waldorf Astoria and a bilateral meeting, the possibility of which is being speculated about,  can not be ruled out.

PM Modi reaches New York on Wednesday whereas his Pakistani counterpart arrives two days later on Friday.

The two countries missed a chance of arresting the escalating border tension as negotiations between their National Security Advisors could not be held in New Delhi in August after they fell apart over the issue of Kashmiri separatists being invited for talks.

The PMs of both India and Pakistan  had decided at a meeting held in Ufa, Russia to organise  NSA-level talks to begin a process for shooting down the bilateral tension.
