PIL filed seeking to know whereabouts of Rahul Gandhi

| | Mar 01, 2015, at 04:01 pm
Lucknow, Mar 1 (IBNS): In the wake of Rahul Gandhi's brief break from politics, a Lucknow based lawyer has filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking whereabouts of the Congress Vice President, media reports said.
According to reports, the petitioner Ashok Pande has deemed it necessary to search for Rahul in order to check on his safety and reputation of the Government of India.

The petition also stated that since the Amethi MP enjoys SPG cover, he cannot disappear without proper information to the Centre.

Rahul triggered a nationwide controversy by taking leave of absence when the parliament's budget session began  with the much debated land bill being the burning issue for the opposition.

The Congress said Rahul has been "granted leave of absence for a few weeks after which he will return and resume his active participation in the affairs of the Congress party."
