New Delhi/UNI: The Lok Sabha has adjourned till 2 PM within minutes of reconvening as opposition MPs demanded a statement from Union Home Minister Amit Shah and a discussion on the security lapse.

The opposition leaders have also sought discussion on the suspension of 14 Opposition MPs for the remaining winter session over disrupting the parliament proceedings on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the suspended MPs staged a protest in front of the Gandhi statue situated on Parliament premises and shouting slogans against the government.

Congress MP Manish Tewari on Friday gave an adjournment motion notice in Lok Sabha seeking to discuss the security breach that occurred in Parliament on December 13 this week.

On Friday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will move the three amended criminal law bills for consideration and passage, which will replace the IPC, CrPc, and Indian Evidence Act.

The Bharatiya Nyaya (Second) Sanhita, 2023, The Bharatiya Sakshya (Second) Bill, 2023; and the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha (Second) Sanhita, 2023, were earlier introduced in Lok Sabha this week by the Home Minister.
