Fatehgarh, June 26 (IBNS) Giving out a strong message to Pakistan, a day after a militant attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pampore area killed eight para-military personnel, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said India will not keep its count on the bullets it will fire if Pakistan fired one bullet to the other side of the border.

"We will make sure we  never fire the first bullet. If Pakistan fires one bullet then we will not even think about keeping a count on the bullets that we are going to fire," Singh said.

Pakistan based terror outfit Lashar-e-Taiba has claimed responsibility of the militant attack on a CRPF vehicle near Pampore on Srinagar-Jammu highway on Saturday which left eight security personnel killed while injuring 22.

Two Lashkar  militants were shot dead during retaliation fire while two more militants fled from the spot, officials said.

This is the deadliest attack since 2013. On June 24, 2013 militants ambushed an army convoy at Hyderpora Bypass in Srinagar, killing eight army soldiers.
