Pampore attack: Omar Abdullah slams militants, centre and state govt

| | Oct 11, 2016, at 01:39 am
Srinagar, Oct 10 (IBNS): Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference working president Omar Abdullah slammed the suspected militants for targeting Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) building for the second time this year, saying the ultras don't want young Kashmiri boys and girls to stand on their feet.

"All that EDI ever did was to train young Kashmiri boys and girls to stand on their own feet and not seek government jobs. Militants
don't like that!" Omar tweeted.

"No wonder for the 2nd time this year they (militants) have attacked the Institute. They want young Kashmiris to be subservient and bitter not self-reliant," he added.

The former Chief Minister also accused New Delhi of being indifferent to Kashmir situation.

In yet another tweet directing towards the Government of India, he said, "Every day it's either militants snatching guns or then militants staging attacks. How can the centre be so blasé about where J&K is headed??" asked Abdullah.

The militants on Monday attacked the EDI building in Pampore for the second time this year with the first attack taking place in
February.
