Palghar/UNI: A 22-year-old married man and a teenage girl who were alleged in a love affair reportedly committed suicide, police said on Friday.

The deceased have been identified as Nitin Sanju Guzad and girl Ananta Pardhi (17), both of whom, are residents of the Vasai taluka here, said the police.

According to police, initial probe revealed that Nitin was married and having two children and was in love with the teenager which lead to the frequent quarrel with his wife.

They both left the house on Wednesday and came down to Wada from Vasai and ended their lives by consuming poison, added the police.

The bodies of the duo were found by riverside near the Sainath Mandir in the Auchitpada of Keltan village of the Wada taluka, stated the police.

The passers-by spotted the bodies and alerted the police and subsequently the cadavers were sent for postmortem.
