Pakistani militant's body found in south Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 16 (IBNS) : The body of a Pakistani   militant body was recovered by Jammu and Kashmir Police on  Saturday in Tral town of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, official sources said.

According to a police officer, the militant's body was recovered by the state police with the help of locals in the wee hours. The body was first noticed by the people who were coming out from mosques in Tral,

The officer also said that a plain letter was  attached with the body which read that the deceased was a non-local Jaish-e-Mohammad militant.

"He was killed when an IED went off accidentally in some forest area. Kindly bury him at the earliest,” read the letter.

Director General of Police S P Vaid said that the Pakistani militant died while preparing the explosive device in Handura Tral.

"While fabricating IED in a hideout near Handura Aripal Tral, an explosion took place in which one militant of reportedly JEM died whose body has been recovered by J&K Police/ SF,” tweeted SP Vaid .
