Pakistan trying to incite violence through 'irresponsible' statements: India

| @indiablooms | Aug 29, 2019, at 05:41 pm

New Delhi, Aug 29 (IBNS): Strongly reacting to Pakistan Railway Minister's comment where he said a war between the two nations is likely soon, India on Thursday said its neighbour is trying to incite violence through such "irresponsible" statements.

"India strongly condemns such irresponsible statements which are coming from the Pakistani leadership. These statements have references to jihad and have been made to incite violence in India. We feel these are Pakistan's intrusion into our personal matter," said Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Raveesh Kumar.

"They have put up provocative tweets as well. Their intention is to make an alarming situation in India but the ground reality is very different. Pakistan must realise that the entire world now knows their trick. Whatever they speak is a lie," Kumar added.

Pakistan Railway Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has predicted that a full-blown war between his country and India is likely to take place in the month of October or November.

Ahmad also reportedly said this war will be the last one between the two nations.

Also the minister slammed the Islamic nations for remaining mum on Kashmir and also claimed China's weight behind Pakistan.

The comment came to light at a time when India's intelligence inputs stated Pakistan-trained SSG commandos might enter Gulf of Kutch and Sir Creek area via seat route. Hence, all Gujarat ports have been kept on high alert.

The bilateral relationship between the two nations started deteriorating first this year after February 14 Pulwama terror attack which killed at least 40 Indian paramilitary personnel.

Following the attack, which was carried out by Pakistan-based militant organisation Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), India responded with an airstrike in Balakote along the Line of Control (LoC).

After India scrapped Article 370 to withdraw Jammu and Kashmir's special status on August 5, Pakistan came out with a sharp criticism of New Delhi. However, the Narendra Modi maintained Kashmir is India's bilateral matter.
