Pakistan slams Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar

| | Dec 14, 2014, at 05:05 am
Islamabad, Dec 13 (IBNS) Pakistan on Saturday reacted strongly against Indian Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar's remarks that India will have to give a strong response to cross-border terrorism and said the 'unfounded allegations and provocative statements are not conducive to peace in the region'.

"In response to a question about the recent statements by Indian Ministers, the Spokesperson said that these unfounded allegations and provocative statements are not conducive to peace in the region. There must not be any miscalculation about Pakistan's resolve to defend itself and thwart any aggression," Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit on Dec 8, Jammu and Kashmir witnessed four coordinated terror strikes in less than 12 hours, including the one where militants stormed into an Army camp in Uri town of the state, which killed 20 people on Friday.
