Pakistan bans broadcast of Indian television channels

| | Oct 01, 2016, at 09:30 pm
New Delhi, Oct 1 (IBNS) : Pakistan on Saturday banned the broadcast of all Indian television channels in a retaliatory move to India's film industry banning Pakistani artists and technicians from working in India, reports said.

Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (EMRA) said strict action would be taken if TV channels and distribution networks failed to implement the ban after October 15.

The decision comes two days  after the Indian producers’ association decided to ban Pakistani artistes and actors in Indian cinema in the aftermath of the Uri terror attack that killed 19 soldiers.
