Pakistan again violates ceasefire, fires unprovoked on LoC in Poonch

Jammu/UNI: Pakistan troops on Tuesday morning again violated the ceasefire by firing unprovoked along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Defence spokesman here said that Pakistan violated ceasefire in Shahpur, Kirni and Qasba sectors of District Poonch.

"At about 1100 hours, Pak initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms and shelling with Mortars along LoC in Shahpur, Kirni and Qasba sectors," he said adding that Indian Army retaliating befittingly.

On Monday, Pakistan violated the ceasefire by shelling unprovoked in forwarding villages along the Line of Control in Mankote sector of Poonch.

On April 24, four residential houses suffered damages due to firing along the Line of Control in Rajouri district.

Pakistan troops violated the ceasefire by firing unprovoked along the Line of Control in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district in which four residential structures situated in close vicinity of LoC suffered damages.

On April 21, Pakistan violated the ceasefire by resorting to unprovoked firing and shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kirni sector of District Poonch of Jammu and Kashmir and attracted effective retaliation from the Indian side.

On April 17, Pakistan Army had shelled civilian areas and forward posts along the Line of Control (LoC) in two sectors Kirni and Qasaba in Poonch district, an army spokesperson said.

On April 12 the Pakistan Army and Its Rangers have violated ceasefire for four times in a single day - three times along LoC in Poonch and one time along International Border in Kathua also.
