New Delhi/UNI: Targeting the Opposition for the violence in Delhi against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday said the BJP is instigating violence, as the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is on course for a big win in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Addressing the mediapersons, Kejriwal said,' Sab jante hai is desh mai dange kaun karwate hai (everyone knows who instigates riots in this country). Those who fear defeat in upcoming elections are inciting riots. Violence is being instigated by the Opposition, because the AAP is going to get a majority in Delhi elections.'

'With this, the Opposition is expected to benefit in the upcoming Delhi election. Even earlier also the Opposition had instigated a riot before the election,' he said.

Denying any role of the AAP behind the violence in the national capital, the CM said,'in this violence an attempt was made to bring the name of AAP, but why would AAP do it? The AAP won't be benefited from the riots, but the opposition party will be.'

'I am very concerned about the situation in Delhi. We want peace to prevail. Everyone has the right to protest, but protests should be peaceful and stay within the parameters of the Constitution. No one can be allowed to indulge in violence,' he added.

Protesters against the CAA in Delhi's Seelampur on Tuesday turned violent and clashed with the police leaving around 20 persons injured.
